Material flow systems for precise workpiece transportation

The Star Conveyor is an industrial material flow system (MFS) for precise workpiece transportation on pallets/workpiece carriers or directly on the conveyor chain. Depending on the design, loads of up to 200 kg per workpiece carrier can be realized.

Technical design and transport principles of our material flow systems:

  • Extension to a heavy-duty conveyor system (up to 200 kg per workpiece carrier)

The modular design supports flexible process interlinking within processing lines and assembly sections. Our conveyor systems can be extended with additional modules to suit specific applications. This makes the material flow system suitable for differently configured material flow systems with defined transfers and stable conveying conditions.

Wear protection and operational reliability of our material flow systems:

To optimize service life, highly stressed components are designed with a surface hardness of up to 1200 HV (hardness according to Vickers). This significantly increases resistance to abrasion and mechanical stress. The result is high robustness and wear resistance of the system components - even in harsh operating climates and demanding environmental conditions.

Star Conveyor CS930 for robust process interlinking

Star Conveyor CS930 material flow system
The Star Conveyor CS930 is a material flow system for the process interlinking of heavy workpieces, e.g. in machine lines and press interlinking systems.

Key technical features:
  • Adjustable friction values for targeted force transmission between chain and product carrier
  • Friction-optimized design to reduce wear
  • WT axles made of aluminum profile with integrated rollers
  • Protection against residues on the pallet track
  • Reduced risk of jamming and crushing

The carrier plates are designed specifically for the application and are available in aluminum, steel or plastic . Depending on the configuration, a heavy-duty conveyor system (up to 200 kg per WT) is designed for demanding material flow systems.

Star Conveyor CS930-S for asymmetrical and cylindrical workpieces

The Star Conveyor CS930-S material flow system is designed for transporting long (cylindrical) and asymmetrical workpieces. The design reduces tilting moments on the product carrier and ensures stable running even with mixed loads.

Key technical features:

  • Shift in the center of gravity of the workpiece holder
  • Additional support roller for load distribution
  • Smooth running of the carrier system
  • Reduced load on the chain components

The load distribution reduces point loads in the process chaining of the machining line and increases the service life of wear-relevant components. Product carriers are designed for specific workpieces (e.g. for gears, shafts or cast parts). Multiple loading of different geometries on one pallet is possible.

This makes the Star Conveyor CS930-S suitable for sophisticated material flow systems and integration into existing workpiece carrier systems as well as complex line layouts.

Star Conveyor PS930 material handling systems
The Star Conveyor PS930 is a scalable material flow system (MFS) for connecting and controlling variable material flows from production stations. It is suitable for a wide range of industries and product types - from simple feeding processes to complex structured line concepts.

Key technical features:

  • Modular design with standardized components
  • Layout freely configurable according to process sequence, timing and transfer points
  • Suitable for simple machine loading through to complex line integration
  • Optional function modules: Pick-up, floating pick-up (for self-loading CNC machines), pusher, coding and high-precision fixing stations

Star Conveyor MS7000 for parts transport directly on the chain

The Star Conveyor MS7000 is a closed material flow system for transporting workpieces directly on the chain. It enables process-stable sequences without workpiece carriers and is particularly suitable for transporting rotationally symmetrical, cylindrical parts. The system can be quickly converted to different diameters using adjustable side guides. Sturdy connecting elements increase rigidity and operational reliability.

Technical features:

  • Conveying speed up to 12 m/min
  • Chain types: Plastic or steel chains (depending on application)
  • Extensions: Stop and separation, robot stations, pusher
